Principal's Welcome Message

St. Luke Catholic Elementary School is a great place for students to learn and grow. Our school mission is one that encompasses the model of teaching and nurturing the whole child, spiritually, academically, physically as well as socially and emotionally. The highly dedicated staff promote high standards of academic excellence where the Gospel values of Jesus Christ as our role model continually permeate all aspects of the curriculum and our daily lives. The staff strives to teach our students to understand and carry out their Catholic School Graduate Expectations; to live the beatitudes and to do what Jesus asks of us.

Quality education is enhanced when the parish, home and school work in unison for the benefit of the students. Our close relationships are central to everything we do as a community. Our school is truly blessed to have a very active parish presence. Father Jerry Punnassery is an integral member of our community. Father Jerry listens to the student's thoughts and questions, teaches them, celebrates the Mass and liturgies with us and offers strong leadership and support to the sacramental preparation of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation for our students. The Home/Parish/School partnership is strong and parents play an active role in the school community. We have a wonderful and supportive partnership with our Catholic School Council and together we work to achieve our common goals. Our Catholic School Council is one way in which you can become involved with your school either as an elected member or volunteer that supports the council and our students.

Responsible citizenship and stewardship of creation are evident throughout the school community. Christian service is modelled on the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. The staff and students of St. Luke are very involved in local as well as international charitable work. We are an Eco certified school with Gold standing. These activities teach our students about what community means, community building and the importance of giving back to the community.

Our staff is committed to providing faith based learning experiences and educational opportunities for our students so that they may continue to be faith filled witnesses of Christ who are proud of their accomplishments and continually strive for success and excellence.

We will continue to stress The Four Keys to Success:

1.) Do one's best at all times
2.) Stay on task
3.) Respect one self, others, school property, property of others, and the environment
4.) Treat others the way you want to be treated

St. Luke Catholic Elementary School truly is "A Great Place to Learn".

May God bless each of you as together we work to serve our Catholic community in our mission of Catholic Education.

“Anyone who welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and anyone who welcomes me, welcomes the one who sent me.

For the least among you all, that is the one who is great.” Luke 9:48

Yours in Catholic Education,
Mrs. K. Moyer
